The Gabonese government has asked the “Moroccan Aviation Private Academy” to train the next generation of civil aviation experts in the country. A private aviation training school based at Benslimane Airport has signed a five-year, renewable contract with Gabon’s National Civil Aviation Agency for this purpose. Growing national, Arab and African aviation needs make Morocco a hub for private flight training based at Benslimane Airport. Details.
The Morocco Aviation Private Academy (MAPA), a school specializing in aviation training, has just won a contract to train civil aviation professionals in Gabon. On April 25, the academy signed a cooperation agreement with the National Agency for Civil Aviation of Gabon (ANAC). This is spread over a period of five renewable years and aims to strengthen the skills of aviation personnel and train a new generation of civil aviation professionals to ensure the safety and efficiency of air traffic in Gabon.
MAPA will thus organize other programs to support the training of students at various levels, including basic aircraft maintenance training, aircraft maintenance technician training, pilot training, aircraft type rating and simulator training, among others.

Today, in addition to the launch of several projects aimed at the development of the air transport sector, Gabon is preparing the deployment of a new public airline and therefore wishes to start the progressive operation of its airports. Projects that require a sufficient number of qualified human resources.
At the moment, nothing is filtered regarding the financial cost of the agreement between the private aviation academy in Morocco and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Gabon.
MAPA was created in 2016 by the Royal Jordanian Air Academy with a local partner. Its aim is to attract around 300 students from Arab and African countries every year.

Morocco, a center for private aviation training
It must be said that Morocco is becoming a center for private aviation training, with Benslimane Airport as its base, where Mohammed Mengouchi, taking advantage of the development of aviation in the kingdom, provided Morocco with the first private training center for aviation professions, which is also a growing international contract.
CFPNC, this pioneer’s group, founded more than 32 years ago by this sector pioneer, has also just signed an agreement with a foreign partner to train 50 Asian pilots. The facility offers training programs for future pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians (B1 and B2 technicians), airport security agents, handling agents (ground traffic control) and other aviation-related professions.
CFPNC Flight Academy, part of the CFPNC Group, also created by Mohammed Mengouchi has a modern fleet of eight flight training aircraft, two new generation flight simulators and several cabin simulators at its base at Benslimane Airport Hangar 11.
The adventure of the CFPNC Group began in 1992 when its founder opened his first center in Rabat to train CFPNC flight attendants and flight attendants. Currently, it has 11 centers in Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal and Canada, which train and integrate into the world of work more than a thousand students per year in Arab, African and European airlines.
Mohammed Mengouchi developed his business to the point of training operational agents and it was in 2008 that he created the CFPNT Academy (now CFPNC Flight Academy), a branch of the CFPNC Group, fully dedicated to the training of aircraft pilots, installed in Hangar 11 of Benslimane Airport.

Since 2016, the group has added a training center for aircraft maintenance technicians to meet the enormous demand presented by the civil aviation market in the coming years and the development of aviation in Morocco. In addition, CFPNC Flight Academy also has an aircraft maintenance center that caters to its own maintenance needs and to Moroccan and foreign customers who are in high demand, especially in Africa.
According to a source close to the CFPNC Group, the young pilots, fully trained within the Academy at Benslimane Airport, managed to be part of the crews of the national airlines RAM Express, Air Arabia, Air Algérie, Congo Airways, Air Côte d’Ivoire, Air Mauritania, Air Burkina, Transair Senegal and many others.
It must be said that the academy has received European EASA approval as an Airline Pilot Training Center, enabling it to offer differentiated study courses leading to the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Air Transport Pilot License or the coveted European Airline Pilot License, the EASA license . The school thus attracts European students due to its proximity to Morocco and very favorable weather conditions, as well as lower costs than most European schools.
There are currently growing needs in the field of air transport at the national, Arab and African levels in terms of training. Over the next 20 years, global demand for air personnel (PNT-PNC-ATE-MEA) will reach unprecedented levels, aviation experts say. They talk about the need for 530,000 airline pilots by 2040.
As a reminder, CFPNC offers not only basic training, but also very advanced practice to future pilots and maintenance technicians with the skills and qualifications required for the position, as well as flight attendants, flight attendants and technical operations agents.
